The collective exhibition Mali au Pluriel offers a broad yet non-exhaustive glimpse into the diversity and dynamism of the Malian art scene. It brings together several contemporary artists in an exhibition space, featuring an original concept of design and lighting, creating a unique atmosphere and identity.Mali au Pluriel aims to support the preservation and promotion of the most significant elements of the national contemporary heritage.The exhibition showcases works by artists who stand out for the uniqueness of their artistic expressions and concepts.Often socially engaged, these artists use their creativity and work to interpret and portray various aspects of their country, offering us their personal vision.Each artist shares a part of their personal, intimate, and subjective history, sometimes with political, social, religious, or spiritual undertones.The themes explored reflect the transformations Mali and its people are undergoing, grappling with the questions, issues, and challenges imposed by the modern world.Their perception of contemporary society, their relationship with memory and tradition, identity loss, otherness, and self-construction in an ever-changing world resonate through their artistic proposals, expressed through diverse mediums and techniques.Mali au Pluriel serves as a snapshot of Malian artistic creation, capturing the plurality of identities that define it and fostering a dialogue around global changes and transformations, the complexity and contradictions of human existence, the symbolism of life, the reinterpretation of reality, and the shared aspirations of a young artistic generation revealing fragments of their imagination.Discover the key figures shaping the history of contemporary art in Mali—painters, photographers, designers, sculptors, and visual artists who are actively shaping today’s creative landscape.
