Maimouna Touré, a Malian visual artist.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the Balla Fasséké Kouyaté Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia Crafts (CAMM-BFK), she explores memory, materiality, and everyday life through the use of earth, sand, and natural pigments.
Her work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Mali and internationally, including «Anw ka fyerew» at the Azalaï Salam Hotel in Bamako, the Ségou’Art Festival, and the Sauti ya Macho International Festival in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Winner of the Agansi Awards 2 Artists Program in Tominkorobougou in 2025, she has also participated in artist residencies at Agansi and Don Sen Folo-Lab.
Currently in residence at Bamako Art Gallery, she is developing «Dance of Candles», a series in which light, wax, and matter become a language for exploring fragility, memory, and rebirth.
